Painting and Baking and Gardening, Oh My!

It has been a busy past few weeks. And I mean, Busy. The Greeneville Farmer's Market has my attention two days a week, now being open on Wednesdays, as well. I will be there as many Wednesdays I can be, provided there's not something going on at NPAC. And I have learned that baking and seeds are so far my best sellers there. So I have been experimenting with new recipes, because I get bored and if I have leftovers, I want variety, you know? As I write, I am smelling the lovely scent of Maple Pecan Banana Scones, made with white whole wheat flour and no refined sugars. A new recipe is always an exciting gamble :)

The garden is yet growing and I will be selling veggies and melons soon. Fingers Crossed. Chamomile is here and I am seriously thinking of trying out some all natural beauty products, but don't quote me...that will be in my spare time, when there is, in fact, time to spare.

Art wise, prep for my upcoming Mason House Gallery/General Morgan Inn exhibition is under way. I have designed invitiations, yet to be mailed, and am working on getting frames for some paintings that need them. I have completed a new painting for the exhibition, as well, and it is framed and ready to go. I really quite like him. But what shall he be called???

Really, I don't have a name for this piece, so if you have an idea, please comment. I may post this on Facebook and get a poll. I think his eyes are striking, so something to do with that.

I am also beginning work with new heavy body paint and a heavyweight 2" profile canvas, neither of which have I ever used, so we'll see how that goes. I hope to have that started this week and hopefully completed by next week. It will also be the biggest painting I've done so far:18x24". The subject will be horse related, so stay tuned...

Oh, and for all the IBBR supporters, be sure to check out their website for the latest news about the release of Cinder and Kaulana back to the wild. As you may know, Cinder was burned badly as a cub and the IBBR gave her a second chance. Now she's back where she belongs! Thanks to the Idaho Black Bear Rehab for all their hard work and dedication to helping these gorgeous animals.
