Thought I'd start this post with an obscure Katherine Hepburn reference. Stage Door, 1937, anyone?

Now that we've completely lost you, we can proceed...

Rather than calla lillies (lilies?) it's coming up chamomile round here. I harvested last week and then harvested again yesterday. Still tons of blooms! Methinks I will be selling them at the Farmer's Market this week coming.

All my efforts lately are in the direction of the Farmer's Market and my art exhibition coming up in July at Mason House Gallery in Greeneville. I've been weeding and planting and cutting wood to paint shelf art and making labels and invitations and writing a press release...Next I need more canvas, paint and frames...I've also been working on creating a logo, website and facebook page for my husband's counseling business. Website is WIP but the Facebook page is up. The logo is done and not done. It needs words and I need to alter the image to be able to fit them. Anyway, his page is here: facebook.com/phoenixcounselingservice. Give him a like, if you like!

Oh, and did I mention baking for the F.M.? Baking, too. Chocolate Chip Banana Cake. So good, and vegan, believe it or don't.

But mostly, art wise, I've been illustrating and filling seed packets. I have several available now: Okra, Sunflower, Pie Pumpkin, Turk's Turban Gourd, and Popcorn. All harvested from last year's crops. Yes, I am a seed saver :)

Besides all this, I started working part-time at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center, just to switch things up and keep it lively...or something. Theatre, music, performing, is a huge part of my background, and it is really cool to be able to help bring culture to our small town and of course, meet super talented artists in person.

To celebrate the upcoming holiday, the advent of spring, and precocious nature of the garden this year, I am having a sale at my Etsy shop. 25% off purchases of $25.00 or more through May 26, 2015! Use coupon code Memorial1. You can visit my shop by clicking on the Etsy Shop tab on my website or go here: dotttipriceart.etsy.com. If you are interested in seeds or baked goods, please visit http://gfm.locallygrown.net or come out to the Farmer's Market at the Greene County Fairgrounds Saturday 8am-1pm and Wednesdays 3-6pm starting May 27th.

Shameless business plug over.

Happy Growing, Baking, Creating, Memorial Day! What projects are you working on this spring? Share in the comments below!
