Spring is here?

This is what I'm working on this week. I call it "Spring Meeting" and I think it may be a series.

Actually, I'm not working on it anymore...it is done. Went quicker than I thought it would. These three represent my favorite wild critters in East Tennessee. Four legged critters, that is. My favorite wild birds are another matter. I feel these guys represent Tennessee, though, since they are so widely seen. They are not completely elusive, but they are a bit shy. So, for me, they are the perfect representatives of "wild" Tennessee. I always feel privileged to see them on my hikes or drives.
I also have been making up children's rhymes that are not quite worked out. Something like,
Skipping through the forest
What do I see?
A black bear, a black bear
Staring back at me...
Except they don't usually stare at me. They run. But nonetheless, my stories are rhyming lately, which is kind of fun, right?
I hope to capture more photos of wildlife this year, for references. I always use references for my artwork, so as to make the subject(s) more believable. Maybe with all the early warm weather, I'll get my wish.
Here's to early spring! May it be consistent :)
